She carried on smashing records throughout her junior years, winning the Australasian Pro Junior Series in 2007 and again in 2008. At 15, Sally Fitzgibbons represented Australia at the International Surfing Association (ISA) U18 World Surfing Titles in Brazil placing 2d; at 16, she journeyed to Portugal for the ISA U18 World Titles to win her 1st World Title and backed it up the following year winning both the Billabong ASP U21 World Title and the ISA World Games Open Title.

In her 1st effort to reach the Women’s elite World Surfing Tour via the World Qualifying Series, Sally Fitzgibbons set a record by wrapping up the 2008 WQS series in the first 5 events to become the youngest World Surfing Tour qualifier in ASP history. Her path to the World Tour was so short that it set a historic record.

"It was such an amazing feeling," she says. "I was one step closer to becoming a World Champion."

When Sally isn't competing, she uses every free surf and time off to keep motivated and improving. She trains and fine tunes everything to make herself a better, complete, all round athlete. Every day, Sally moves closer to her goal, but she's holistic in her journey.

"I want to live life to the fullest," she says. "I want to be World Champ and meet amazing people, enjoy all my opportunities, make my family proud so when I get to the top, I'll appreciate everything along the way."
